First introduction
Bought this rock with star polyps on it, not sure yet which one it is. Currently in doubt between Pachyclavularia violacea and Clavularia viridis. Hope to make some pictures after cleaning soon.

Dying? Polyps closed
Last few days the polyps havent opened themselves, its being terrorized by algae also, constantly cleaning the rock hoping the polyps will open again, but no luck so far

First picture
Not much to see anymore, since they are almost all closed. Hoping that keeping it clean and adding some suppliments and food for corals helps a bit.

Some are opening again
Seems some of them survived and are opening again...still trying to keep the rock as clean as possible.

The road to rebuilding Pt 1
The star polyps still have trouble with the algae. Hopefully after rebuilding things will be better/easier. In the new situation I also want to give them a new spot, hopefully that helps also.

The road to rebuilding Pt2
The buttons and polyps will have a nice location at the very top, where I hope they will build a sort of a bridge. They will have a lot of light there, and not too much water flow. So the idea is to have a bridge between rock pillars filled with polyps. All three polyp types will be located at the top is the idea. The button and colony polyps are already located high, but also the star polyps will be put there…if they manage to stay open for another week.

The road to rebuilding Pt 3
The Green Star Polyps are actually recovering, more seem to be opening lately. A lot of them have died unfortunately, but I’m glad some survived the Dinoplague. Hope in the new setting they will expand even more.

Rebuilding Day 4, the aftermath
We didn't clean the rock, so a lot of grey junk was on it when we put it back. Cleaned it a bit by putting it in front of the pump, now see how the polyps come out, see if it can still be saved. The location should be good at least.

The days after, Part 1
The Green Star Polyps are slowly opening, some small ones are open already. Hopefully it will expend and return to the state it was in before we bought it. It has had a lot to endure with the Dinoflagetes and dust.

Many new corals
The green star polyps are doing better every day. Unfortunately it doesn’t show in the picture, since the light was already off and I only turned it on to make some pictures. Hopefully it will show more in future pictures

Star Polyps are still growing bigger and more of them are showing up. Very happy about the way they recovered after all that has happened after we bought them. Going to do a search on them soon to determine the species.

Suggestion from a forum
Jansch from zeewaterforum gave the suggestion it might be Stolonifera sp. Only found one picture on reeflex, and it's not very clear from there

The star polyps moved a bit because their location didn't excist anymore. They are now located close to the soft coral.

Back from vacation
The green star polyps have been in the aquarium for 6 months now. We bought it when we got the big plague, which killed most of the polyps. Shortly after the rebuild it started to recover slowly and more polyps appeared. Now after the Angelfish was caught the rock with polyps moved a bit, but the expansion is still ongoing.
