Actinodiscus sp (Red Mushroom)

The location is still mainly the same, just rotated a bit so the green mushroom is more visible.

The red mushroom has split again, there are now 2 new ones underneath the old one.

The red mushroom is the oldest mushroom in the aquarium, it has been in the aquarium for 9 months and was the start of the first mushroom rock. It was 3 months later the second mushroom, a green one, was added to the rock. Then couple of months later the big rebuild started, mushrooms got a new location and a third mushroom was added to the rock (more details on him later). And now, all the mushrooms on the rock have split at least once and when we got back from vacation I spotted a purple mushroom on the rock as well (the backside of the rock). It has become one of my prides in the aquarium.

Almost a year now that we have this mushroom. Well, currently it’s no longer one mushroom but three already. All three are doing great and growing larger each time.

Our very first mushroom has reached his first year anniversary today. This is the most recent picture:

Yesterday I have sold some fragments again. A member from the Zeewater Forum voor Nederland en België, called Bikerdick, wanted to buy the last Red Mushroom fragment and some Kenya Tree fragments.
When he saw the aquarium he also showed interest in other things, one of them being a green mushroom. However, I dont think I will try to frag anything from this rock any time soon. He did buy 4 Kenya Trees though, making more room to see the mushrooms

And also removed some of the Planaria on the mushrooms.

Removed the Finger Leather which was in front of the mushrooms. Now they are better visible again.
