The current owner
Found an advert on www.zeewaterforum.info from chriszuid in which he was selling couple of corals. Among them where several Sinularia species. Not sure yet which ones he has. Asked him for pictures and prices.
Here is a shot I found of his aquarium, and the coral in question

Bought the coral
Even though I dont know yet which species of Sinularia it is, we bought it from chriszuid for 10 euro. It has a nice spot between a couple of rocks on the left side. Pictures will come soon!

First picture
Yesterday we bought some more corals, so I decided to clean the front window and show how the Sinularia is looking in the aquarium now. Maybe now someone has an idea which species it is exactly

The new Sinularia coral was a bit closed when making the pictures, hope that it’s just a temporary thing. These corals are said to be very hardy, so I don’t worry too much yet, but the nitrite level is at a point where it could damage Invertebrates and corals. Just keep an eye on it.

Added new Urchin, Hermit Crab and Mushrooms
The Sinularia has opened up again. He now also provides shelter for the new hermit crab and rises above the new mushroom rock

Suggestion from a forum
Jansch from zeewaterforum gave me the suggestion it might be the Klyxum simplex. But it would be slimy then, so would have to check that.

New Sand Sifting Sea Star
The Leather Coral is also doing fine…might interfere with the Starburst Polyps however.

New name
It has become the Klyxum Simplex. It fits the description, it is slimy when you touch it. And it looks like it as well.

Angelfish sold, tank rebuild
Still in the same corner, just shifted a little so that it didn't bother other corals

Back from vacation
The soft coral has been in the aquarium for almost 4 months now and is the biggest coral currently there. He didn’t experience much since we bought him after the big rebuild. He only shifted a bit due to the capture of the Angelfish. He doesn’t seem to have grown a lot, but we got him pretty big already.

New corals
18 september we bought 3 rocks with 5 different kinds of coral. One of the rocks is located close to the soft coral and is filled with Xenia and mushrooms. Another one can be seen in the picture as well, the rock is filled with a Kenya tree and Cabbage leather coral.

Cleaning november 2010
Growing wider, not really higher. The base of the coral is expending more then it is moving upwards. Still has trouble with the polyps next to it, they sting the soft coral a bit.

Killing and Cleaning
Cleaned the inside of the coral since there was some garbage on it. Doesn't look to well now, but that will probably improve in time. Also the rocks on which it is attached keep moving apart from eachother. Might also be a problem.
