Angelfish sold, tank rebuild
A week ago we found someone who wanted to buy our Angelfish. So we started catching it Friday before they showed up. The result of this was that all the stones and corals needed to be removed from the aquarium, because he didn’t feel like getting caught.
Result is that we have a new look, it’s more compact now and lower. Some elements look better others don’t. It is now harder to look underneath the rocks, so the shrimp is harder to spot unfortunately.
The rock with the red mushroom and buttons has separated. The mushroom had attached itself to another rock, so when we picked it up the mushroom stayed on the rock below. No problem, now they have more room to grow.
My first home-grown fragment has a more prominent location now. No more hiding behind a rock, its right there to see.
The Xenia is still looking bad, but hopefully now without the Angelfish it has a chance to recover.
The oldest buttons have attached themselves to the rock below, so it seems they are expending their territory. It now rotated a bit so all three colours are visible.
The mushrooms are doing great, the small ones have more colour every day and start to look like their big brothers. We rotated them a bit so the green one is better visible.
Other news, the Hermit crab has moved again. And yesterday evening I found that the shell I saw him in was also returned again for another one.
The Tube Worm seemed to have his tube pierced by something. It doesn’t seem to affect him (yet). Hope it stays that way.
And we have Sea anemones again…where they came from, no idea.
